Daily Prayer Prompts

  • PROVISION & PROTECTION

Today we want to thank God for the pastors and leaders He has blessed each of the Grace churches with. We often times do not see the work and sacrifice that comes with being in vocational ministry or serving the church.

Today, let’s spend some time thinking about your local context - who is God putting on your heart to pray for? Pray for peace, protection and provision for that person. Is God giving you a verse or a word that you can encourage them with?

  • PLUMB THE DEPTHS

Throughout the Bible we learn about God’s character in the way He reveals Himself to His children. He is our Provider and our Protector; He is all knowing, sovereign, holy and just - to name a few. As you reflect on God’s character, is there an attribute that stands out to you? In what ways has God shown Himself to you?

Depending on our circumstances it can be hard to have the right understanding of God’s character. Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Ask God to reveal Himself to you in new ways. Ask Him to give you insight into how He is lovingly guiding you.

  • AWAKEN THE DREAM

God has created each of us to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us. We thank God for the daring dreamers, bold entrepreneurs and culture shaking non-profits that were empowered and born within the Grace Family. Pray today that they may flourish and that God will bless them while doing their wonderful work.

Take a moment to ask God what He has prepared for you in advance. Is there a God dream in your heart? If needed, pray for the boldness to step out in faith to follow where God is leading you.

  • PRESS THE EDGES

We believe in cultivating a movement of healthy churches that multiplies next generation leaders. If you are currently pouring into a new leader, pray that God will give you wisdom and compassion as you shepherd that person. If you are a leader that’s being discipled and empowered, pray that God, “who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Take time to thank God for the residents and fellows that are and have been part of the Rooted Renegade Residency. Pray that their heart stays tender to God and that He will empower them to take the Kingdom wherever He sends them.

  • GIVE IT AWAY

We believe that God has called us to radically pursue the next generation. May we see the generations to come not as a burden, but as an opportunity to entrust ownership and disciple them as a vital part of the church body. We all were “the next generation” once and as you think about that time in your life, think about a moment, a person or an encouraging phrase someone said that made you feel seen and valued.

In what ways can you empower someone younger than yourself? Pray that God will give you opportunities to pass the cloak and to invest in the next generation.

  • DO IT TOGETHER

Romans 12:3-5 “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

Despite all the division and promoting of differences in this world, God’s word teaches us that unity is good. Unity is pleasing in God’s sight and is something we should pursue as much as it depends on us. Each of us that make up the body of Christ have different purposes, skills, personalities, and backgrounds, yet we can still be a unified body. This is how God has established it, that we would be in perfect unity with one another.

How do you uniquely contribute to the body of Christ? In what areas are doubt and division creeping in? Name them! How can you fill the gap with trust in those areas and speak life into them?

  • GRACE FAMILY OF CHURCHES

The origin story of each Grace church is organic, indigenous, and profoundly marked by the Holy Spirit. We empower local leaders to reach their local communities, while also sharing essential convictions, community, and cause.

Today, spend some time in prayer for each of the ten Grace churches.

    Grace Athens
    Grace Capital City
    Grace Lake
    Grace Lanier
    Local Church
    Grace Marietta
    Grace Midtown
    Grace Monroe
    Grace New Hope
    Grace Snellville
    West Side Church

Pray that God will make Himself known in new ways to these churches and that they will be a pleasing aroma to Him. Pray Numbers 6:24-26 over them–”The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
